Description

Contains the Web Address (URL) of the calling page.

The page that referred the user to this one.

Note:

Referer, is in fact, misspelled. It comes from HTTP_REFERER Server Variable.

In the original specifications of HTTP, is was accidentally misspelled and implemented.

For consistency reasons or something, it has never been corrected.
